School starts today. (Enough said.)

School starts up again today.

Yeah. I know.

Its not my favourite day of the year, to say the least. I mean, I actually like holidays. I like waking up at 8:30 at the earliest and staying up as late as I want at night scrolling through Pinterest. I like spending my days doing nothing and it being acceptable because, hey, you're on holidays. I like spending less time earning money and more time spending it.

Call me crazy.

But there is a silver lining to this cloud.

THIS IS MY LAST FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL TERM EVER!

Yep! This is the last high school term I will ever complete. The last five weeks that I will ever have to study maths (Ha, study - what a joke) and do maths exams. Five weeks and then I'm free!

Its a good feeling, the feeling that I'm nearly finished school forever. Its also a daunting feeling looking down the barrel of the next few weeks and knowing that there is an absurd amount of work I have to complete before I actually get to graduate. But I can do it! Because...well, because I don't really have a choice! :)

Personally, I don't really think I'm mature enough to be sent out into the real world. I mean, as it is I like to spend most of my time imagining I live next door to Anne Shirley and that Gilbert Blythe
(^^ Gilbert Blythe. He wears suspenders. Be still my heart.) ;)

is actually in love with me, so I'm not really equipped to charge into the nearest concrete jungle and conquer all.

Be fair people. I live on a mountain. (Which, contrary to popular opinion, is not as bad as living under a rock. Yes, I have internet! And TV! And cars! And electricity! And friends!) ;)

So, after the next five weeks, my life as a successful, money earning adult, begins.

Go ahead, laugh. I am. :)

Anyway, good luck to all of the grade 12 students out there - study hard, enjoy the work, have fun learning, and savour every moment.

(Just kidding. Really, just pass all of the exams and pray that time flies by. And to all of those people who are planning on becoming teachers and therefore putting themselves back into school...
I'm not the crazy one.) :)

God Bless!!

Gracie
